Embedding DataSelf Tableau Reports and Dashboards

6. Go to the Dataself dashboard that you would like to embed, click Share (top right), and from the following window copy the link from the "Link" section.

 on the top or bottom right, click Copy Link; paste it into a text app and add ?:showVizHome=no&:embed=true to the end of it. Ex.:

• Copied text:
• https://dataselfbi.com/t/d/views/DataSelfAnalytics/YoY

• Suffix added:

• https://dataselfbi.com/t/d/views/DataSelfAnalytics/YoY?:showVizHome=no&:embed=true

• Copy the modified URL above into the Url field in Acumatica.

7. Paste that link into the "Source" section from the Widget Properties in Acumatica and optionally add a name in the "Caption" section. Click Finish, Click Design again.

That's it!  Click on the dashboard name in Acumatica to launch the embedded DataSelf dashboard or report.

Single Sign-on

By default, DataSelf user credentials are independent from Acumatica credentials.  It's possible to set up single sign-on for user authentication so that users don't have to log on to DataSelf to use embedded dashboards and reports.   

Natural Language Query (NLQ) URLs for Embedding

1. Log into DataSelf and go to the Explore.
2. Got to All Data Sources and click on any of the data sources. Important: data sources labeled as NL (Natural Language) have been simplified and optimized for such purposes.
3. Enter a question in the box (see below) such as "sum of sales", and press Enter.

5. A new browser tab will open.
6. Take that URL from this new tab, remove '#n' at the end of the URL, and add '?iframeSizedToWindow=true&:embed=y'. **
   1. See example below: i) is an example of the original URL, ii) is the URL to embed in Acumatica.
